Abstract: The power density of axial piston pumps can benefit greatly from increased rotational speeds. However, the maximum rotational speed of axial piston machines is limited by the cavitation phenomenonfrom an analytical cavitation model to estimate the speed limitations for the same series of axial pistonThe cavitation model is experimentally verified using a high-speed axial piston pump, and the scalingThis constant can represent the comprehensive capacity of axial piston pumps free from cavitation.

Performance of rolling piston type rotary compressor using fullerenes (C70) and NiFe

Ruixiang WANG,Yihao ZHANG,Yi LIAO

Frontiers in Energy 2020, Volume 14, Issue 3,   Pages 644-648 doi: 10.1007/s11708-017-0453-y

Abstract: A novel way for a compressor to improve its coefficient of performance was proposed in this paper. Fullerenes (C70) and NiFe O nanocomposites were modified by span 80 and dispersed in refrigeration oil by solid grinding (SG). Besides, the tribological properties of the nanocomposites were investigated using a four ball friction tester. The results show that when the mass concentration of fullerenes nanocomposite is higher than 60 ppm and the concentration of nano-oil is 2 g/L, the friction coefficient decreases from 0.13 to 0.06 which means the wear is reduced. The coefficient of performance of the compressor under the air conditioning test condition can be raised by 1.23%.

Multi-objective optimization of surface texture for the slipperswash plate interface in EHA pumps

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2022, Volume 17, Issue 4, doi: 10.1007/s11465-022-0704-4

Abstract: Well-designed surface textures can improve the tribological properties and the efficiency of the electro-hydrostatic actuator (EHA) pump under high-speed and high-pressure conditions. This study proposes a multi-objective optimization model to obtain the arbitrarily surface textures design of the slipper/swash plate interface for improving the mechanical and volumetric efficiency of the EHA pump. The model is composed of the lubrication film model, the component dynamic model considering the spinning motion, and the multi-objective optimization model. In this way, the arbitrary-shaped surface texture with the best comprehensive effect in the EHA pump is achieved and its positive effects in the EHA pump prototype are verified. Experimental results show a reduction in wear and an improvement in mechanical and volumetric efficiency by 1.4% and 0.8%, respectively, with the textured swash plate compared with the untextured one.

Research on non-mechanical ventilation effect in Zhongnanshan road tunne

Zheng Xuan,Guo Jiaqi

Strategic Study of CAE 2010, Volume 12, Issue 3,   Pages 39-44

Abstract:

Zhongnanshan extra-long road tunnel in Qingling is large-scale and has a complex ventilation system. In order to guarantee the ventilation scheme properly and save the ventilation expenditure, the evaluation of non-mechanical ventilation effect is of importance. The research team monitored the natural wind initially, traffic flux and the wind induced by natural ventilation pressure and traffic wind force subsequently, and obtained lots of data. Through analysis of the monitoring data, we draw some conclusions: firstly, bigger speed of the natural wind occurs in the period from 10∶00 am to 14∶00 pm, and the greatest value reaches 2.576 m / s; secondly, the period of peak traffic flux in tunnel(east or west line) is mostly constant; at last, the period of bigger wind speed, which induced by natural ventilation pressure and traffic wind force, basically matches the period of peak traffic flux in the east line, while the two periods match badly in west line, meantime, the change of wind speed is relatively smooth in west line. The calculating value of the natural wind speed by method which takes account of some parameters such as wind orientation, frequency of wind orientation, the temperature of portal et al, approximates the monitoring value. The calculating value of the wind speed induced by natural ventilation pressure and traffic wind force is a little smaller than the monitoring, but approximate it.
